The agreement struck between the representative of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu (Likud), and that of his future National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir (Otzma Yehudit), provides that the latter will head an autonomous armed force.
I also look at the recent uptick in Israeli aggression against Syria and examine the complex reasons why. The region is heading for an escalation – between Hezbollah and Israel, Palestine and Israel and Syria and Israel or all three. Yemen also is looming as a very clear threat to Israel. The UK and US are bogged down in Ukraine leaving Israel more isolated than ever before.
Israeli occupation army burned alive at least 20 Egyptian soldiers and the next day used a bulldozer to dig a mass grave and bury them.

Hossam told me that Mohammed had a favourite plastic glass. He had left the glass on the windowsill of his parents bedroom. In the hours after the attack, Mohammed asked his father where his glass was. Hossam feared that it would have been destroyed. But the window had imploded sending glass flying and twisting the metal frame. The glass was still upright on the windowsill, untouched. For Hossam and his wife, this was a small miracle, a symbol of hope. I see this so often, in war, among people who have so little to call their own. An item of insignificance for most of us becomes a precious token of survival.
During the early hours of this morning, Israel launched an attack on multiple positions across Syria – targeting Tartous, Hama and Homs countryside and reports of attacks in Damascus countryside. Initial reports indicated that Israeli aggression was prioritising the Scientific Research Facility in Mesyah, Hama countryside.
