The Intifada of 1987 was successful due to the fact that it witnessed mass participation of women and youth, overwhelmingly non-violent, civil-disobedience, mass strikes, massive marches and Sit-Ins. The Israeli’s just could not contain the massive non-violent uprising and the narrative changed in favour of the Palestinian cause. I have also spoken to a few Palestinian Friends within … and they have said, that now they are getting this initial phase of largely random uncoordinated protests, to now get to more organizational coordinated protests, which will lead to massive mobilizations with a clear leadership and stated political objectives, planned for each phase of the Uprising, the Intifada. The other sincere request and plea is that during the massive marches and gatherings, do carry posters of Mahatma Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King, Che Guevara, Hugo Chavez …..This will send a clear Message to the World….

Lets compare this to Syria and say we asked the Syrian people to come out of Kafarya and Foua [a siege and occupation situation] for example in mass protest at the ISIS siege that is encircling them..they would be massacred, my fear is that you are asking the Palestinian people to do the same thing. It will only take one spurious accusation of knife carrying or weapon carrying for the IOF, armed settlers and PA to open fire and the streets of Palestine will run with blood. This is not 1987, it is 2015 and the Israeli entity is a monster that is utterly unaffected by International Law and supported by the Western Zionist run media…we are not dealing with any semblance of humanity here, we are dealing with a monstrous machine of death focused on the final cleansing of Palestine. “We want popular resistance yet peaceful with a consistent threat of violence. We can’t totally ignore stabbing or any kind of other violent resistance. Shot by Israeli explosive bullets fired to kill by Israeli snipers. This is guerilla warfare in a dirty and asymmetric war. Punitive sanctions against Israel as have been imposed against Syria, Iran and many others. 3.
