Tackling the No Fly Zoners ~ Navid Nasr

The following exchange is between Navid Nasr [geopolitical analyst] of Vof99 Radio and a NoFlyZone advocating organisation whose petition has been produced by none other than Empire megaphone Avaaz...As Mother Agnes Mariam said a few days ago, a No Fly Zone is another term for a “terrorist safe haven”.  Radio Interview with Mother Agnes Mariam: Syrian Crisis caused by Western Provocation

Navid Nasr:  “Oh joy! Nothing better on a Saturday than receiving a forwarded (via dcmetrolist, whose moderators should be ashamed of themselves) email blast from the All Dulles Area Muslim Society (ADAMS) calling for direct military intervention in Syria (“no-fly zone”) as the FIRST step in solving the humanitarian crisis. Full text of email blast follows:”

[EDITOR’S NOTE: Once again the All Dulles Area Muslim Society, or ADAMS, takes a leadership role in building a better world, this time by helping the rest of us bring rapid humanitarian relief, justice, healing and peace to people in pain, to a world in pain. Please read their message for information on active, results-producing steps we all can take, here and now, to help end the suffering and violence of the Syrian conflict.

ADAMS is emerging as a major agent of civic engagement, interfaith bridgebuilding, community resilience, justice, and peacemaking in our region – not just for Muslims, but for us all. Our lives, and our world, are better because of their efforts. All are welcome to visit them, on line and in person. Thank you.]

RESPONSE FROM NAVID NASR

My response via email to anjinsan@geotrees.com:

You’ve got to be kidding. This is an email blast whose FIRST call to action is to pressure the US and the GCC countries to go from proxy intervention in Syria via ISIS, Jabhat al-Nusra, Ahrar al-Sham, Liwa al-Islam, Jaish al-Fateh, etc. to DIRECT military intervention via a “no-fly zone.”

What does this have to do with “building a better world?” How will this bring “rapid humanitarian relief, justice, healing and peace to people in pain?”

Is that what the no-fly zone in Iraq accomplished? In Libya?

Please consider exactly what it is that you’re doing before you send out interventionist pro-war agitprop disseminated by Muslim Brotherhood front groups on such a widely read email list like dcmetrolist in the future.

Thank you.

RESPONSE FROM GEOTREES

Good evening, Mr. Nasr:

Thank you for your response to ADAMS’ appeal. It’s always good to have thorough inquiry, discussion and debate where various points of view, and points of fact, converge.

I invite you to come out to ADAMS tomorrow evening, Sunday, for an unrelated civic engagement event, free and open to the public, where you will have the opportunity to meet and talk in person with the authors of this appeal. (That event, including time and place, was described in a Metrolist post on Thursday, the 10th. I understand that dinner will be included.0) Alternatively, if you would care to sign your response, I would be happy to share it with the authors, post it verbatim on Geotrees, or both. Whether or not to post it on Metrolist as a reply to the original mail is, of course, your choice to make.

I’d be pleased to meet you at ADAMS tomorrow evening.

In peace,

Charles Stevenson

Interfaith member, ADAMS and ADAMS ACE Team
